The skeleton walks,
As the dark settles
And the sun goes down,
Picking thorns to weave a crown
And guard the town.
In the distance, he hears the sound
Of people laughing loud,
So, next night he leaves,
Wrapped in jacket,
Though it isn't cold outside,
Skeleton, what are you trying to hide?
"I'm scared 'cause I don't wanna hurt anyone too much,
But I can't help but killing everything i touch,
And i just wanna learn the rules of the games they play."
As the night grew low and the moon shone,
Someone caught a glimpse of bone-white.
Skeleton, you're such a fright.
"I'm scared, 'cause i don't wanna hurt anyone too much,
But I cant help but killing everything I touch."
Now it's time to go.
Now it's time to run away.
Let yourself give anywhere but here a silver-lining,
Have you had your fill?
Are you sick of keeping still?
Married to the thought that maybe things could have been better?
Well i hope you make it far,
far beyond the mountain-scarred
skies with no horizon to taunt you with its treasures.
Now it's time to go.
